    Be happy but not …
Be happy but not too happy! Ha, Ha.
This guy Chopra looks unhappy to me. I did not see him smile even once. And he is telling the world to be happy!
A true practitioner of meditation technique would be not just happy but in ecstasy. This guy has lost touch with his inner self. Those of us brought up in eastern traditions like meditation, yoga can see through this.
when you are eternally happy (in a state called satchidananda), you are with god. You are then God.

    I’m very interested …
I’m very interested in all this cyber-spirituality also called new age spirituality. It’s great and really inspiring. The spirit, the soul, the dimensions, reincarnation, previous lives, etc… It’s great and a lot of new physic discoveries are showing that it’s really possible. And that’s great, because previously science was incompatible with spirit.
But it’s also very important to remain skeptic. None of this has been proved. It’s only a belief. Some people can use it to win money!

    He’s not a guru, …
He’s not a guru, he’s a teacher for those that are evolved enough to learn what he’s sharing. It’s as simple as that. Those that are angry are the brainwashed ones too weak and fearful to look beyond dogma, and that’s ok. So go and be ok in your uncomfortable comfort zones while those of us that are evolving keep moving forward. Maybe your next incarnation will find you evolving. The number one thing I would say is just be the kindest, most loving person you can be, and that will be good enough.

I like the zoom in on the glasses at 7:28. Those things must’ve cost thousands. Trendy little guru, that one.

    First video where …
First video where I’ve seen Deepak Chopra make a political statement, and guess what, his “spirituality based on internal study and personal wholeness” just took a nosedive with me.
He really has a beautiful way of attacking people, but this is the first time I realized that is what he is doing.
All Gurus have to break down the belief system you came with, and he certainly is great at this.
Oh, and please tell me where his physiological data is available to view?

  18. Italtopcop Says:

    I am a huge fan of …
I am a huge fan of Dr. Chopra and own all his books and listen to him weekly on the radio. I do however have one problem that disturbs me greatly. I have written to him several times to ask if his courses are so expensive does his foundation make an allowance for the poor to participate? All letters have been ignored. This is very disappointing. It is fine to make money on his gift but he should spread the wealth by helping the poor. I don’t believe he does this based on the lack of response.

    “Commedy is a more …
“Commedy is a more effective way to enlighten people than religion. Religion is so serious that it’s a cover-up for insecurity. It’s all so full of self-importance and hypocrisy, you see that all these scandals that emerge are from religious institutions.” -Deepak, in this interview.

Now here’s a spiritual dude I can relate to.

    Jian, you are great …
    Jian, you are great!.
I can see that you are not just hosting a show or conversation for the sake of it, you are totally engaged in the conversation, and leading the dialogue to be a creative one. Your questions, indications put up to Deepak are genuin and it is good to see that Deepak agrees with them.

Good luck and keep it up.

  22. dcronkite1 Says:

    Chopra is doing the …
Chopra is doing the “yes, but” exchange where it sounds like he’s agreeing with you, but then disagrees. I used to be knee deep in New Agers for 11 years when I was doing massage and Reiki. Like much of the New Age, Deepak Chopra’s analysis of life’s mysteries is thin and simplistic. I much prefer the depth of James Hillman.

  23. poplijp Says:

    If you are terming …
If you are terming Deepak a simpleton, for the reason that he admits that sad songs could also be a ground for creativity, then you miss the chance to understand him.

Can you see how easily and how gracefully he accepts the valid and valuable points of others, instead of taking an egoistic approach, of so called a Guru who knows everything.

Chopra is a con man and a simpleton. Jian does a super job of exposing the holes in Chopra’s childish explanations of life.
