How do you set the self timer on the Nikon 3100?

I’ve just got a new camera and I can’t find the self timer option! Help please? Thanks 10 points easy best answer! oxox
actually ‘letsgojose’ my dad got me this camera unexpectedly and i have no idea where the box with the manual is… gosh its only a stupid camera for school.

Look at the mode dial on the top right side. At it’s base, you’ll see a sliding switch (Release Selector) for single shot, continuous shot, self-timer, and quiet mode.

Slide the lever to the Self-Timer indicator (looks like sweeping watch hand).
Put your camera down and aim it at where you’ll be standing.
Press the button and step into the picture (you’ll have about 10 seconds).
The light will blink until the image is captured.
