I am a 13 year old indocanadian boy, everyone thinks I’m funny and a good artist.
But I hate my self, not for anything I did but because due to religion, I cannot cut my hair and eat meat.
Me and my family eat meat and they cut their hair but I am not allowed to.
I am closest to my dad in my family and I want to ask him if I can cut my long hair which annoys the crap out of me.
How can I approach and ask him this?
P.S. He has his hair cut so he’s not too strict about it!

First of all. if u dont like ur religion you can easyily change but make sure the one you change to you beleive it. If you play sports you should tell them its harder for you to play and it gets hottger when i play the sports. and eagting meat tell them i have a really skinny body and arm and i dont have a lot of energy cuz i do not eat meat.

do you wear a turban to cover it up?
i heard once you reach a certain age they let you cut your hair? alot of indians i know wore a turban when they were younger (due to the same reason as what you stated) and then in there late teens cut there hair.. so just wait it out.
but until then you are under there house so you have to follow there rules.

well if you dont support the constumes of a religion, drop the religion. its not like your god will punish you for having less grimy tendrils pouring from your head, im sure hes busy with other things.

Dude you shouldnt hate yourself but your parents. I get where your coming from because my mom and dad use to be uber strict when it came to church and stuff. Id go 1 hour every sunday in the morning and 2 hours every sunday night for church school. wed have to say grace do lent and all kinds of other crap/ me and my sister just got really sick of it and went on strike basicallly. we refused to go. My parents were furious and angry. they resorted to draging us there and makin us go. finally our parents got sick of forcing us and the hell we put them through every sunday and gave up. So basically you gotta voice your opinion. you got tell em that you dont want to do this anymore. Most likely they wont like what there hearing, get angry and wont listen. Just persevere till they give up.
