My advice for …
My advice for dealing with a narcissist is to put three in their head, right behind their ear. Do it while they are sleeping and there will be less of a blood splatter than when they are standing up. Also their heart rate is lower so they will bleed out less. I recommend using this tip on how to deal with a narcissist. I hope it has been of help to you all.

Blessings and prayers to all who were parented, married, dated, divorcing, or the sibling of a Narcissist.
It’’s tough, I wish I had had this information 20 years ago! I was taught to rationalize the Narcissist behavior unless they did something violent or life threatening. I too feel I have wasted years’ of my life and am seeking therapy.

I am angry that I at least convinced him to go for help 5 separate occasions! I would think a professional could have “spotted” him in 10 mins! But no….that is why I started my own research. I am in my late 50’s and he is 10 years younger. I have given my life for this relationship only to discover too late…Like most people there is a lot more invested in a relationship than just “love.” Can you actually sue for a divorce based on this diagnosis? I stay because I cannot afford to go.

Thanks for the tip/reminder. it was helpful. There seems too be a lot of anger and depression in the NPD. Interacting with them can sometimes make one throw up their hands and reach for a Higher Power.
20 years of …
20 years of marriage to a narcissist and 21 of those years have been spent looking for answers. Too many trips to psychiatrist sbecause I thought it was me…medication I have taken (through a doctor) all because of this! I never stop seeking answers. This doctor has hit it on the mark. I will continue to follow him. The only question I have is how do you get back all of those wasted years?? It is too late for me to move on. He has drained me emotionally and financially.

Sometimes it takes …
Sometimes it takes someone else to point out the obvious because people in the situation are not objective…and many don’t know this stuff—they think they can fix the narcissist—through a psychologist or through reading, they discover that they are playing rescuer and that they can’t change another person or save them from themselves—–look at the the lady Sera in the movie Leaving Las Vegas –she ties herself to alcholic Ben who wants to drink himself to death–he is so selfish.
I think what he is …
I think what he is saying is that you can either avoid your mom or you will have to flatter her in order to get your needs met.
The advice is …
The advice is helpful….first avoid the N if you can—that makes sense—-if they are your boss or in the case of one of the people commenting, your mother, you can flatter them and then sneak your opinions in—–it is a strategy to get your needs met—-I don’t think confrontation works well—I find the narcissist gets very defensive and does not listen to you—
