the doc is right in some aspects. compulsive liars are not only inconsistence but also act out lies while putting on a show. they like to create drama until everything falls apart and you no longer want to trust them anymore. it comes from insecurity and then becomes a habit.

I know many compulsive liars, all of them are good friends who I trust deeply. Sure they lie but they know I wont leave them if they tell me the truth and they come to me and tell me they lied when they do. That’s a huge reason why I trust them. They are not bad people and they lie, that does not mean they will tell someone a secret I tell them. Its a disorder, they can’t necessarily control their lies, and they need help, not people telling others that you need to stay away from them.
