Concepts Of Happiness And Success

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Success

Happiness and Success are two concepts intertwined with one another. These are two of the most important ingredients that would eventually define a person’s life.

If one would think about it, happiness and success are two things that are relative to a person’s point of view since these are dependent on one’s ideologies. Happiness and success relate to a target or reference point.

A person may say that he is happy because he just finished his studies or he just met a fine woman. A person may say he is successful because he was just promoted to a higher position. When one talks about happiness and success, a certain goal or perhaps an achievement is always the reference point.

A person will constantly ask himself if he is happy or if he can consider himself successful. Many people become depressed because they cannot seem to make sense of all the things that are happening in their lives. The most important thing to remember, when evaluating one’s happiness and success, is that people need to limit their assessment using their own personal standards.

Often times, depression comes about because people rely so much on the expectations of others. Have you heard college students who don’t do as well as they could because they don’t like the course which they are in? They say that they don’t really like the course because they were just forced by their parents or they had to take it for some other reason than because they liked it. Professionals also experience this kind of depression. Oftentimes, the workplace becomes a battleground wherein people live their lives according to the expectations of other people.

Again, happiness and success depend on one’s own views. Let us look at a musician’s point of view regarding happiness and success. A musician would love nothing more than to create music that comes from his soul. Depending on his ideologies regarding music, he can say that he is successful and happy with what he is doing.

A true musician wouldn’t care less if his records sold millions or not, as long as his music stays true to its original intentions when the records were made. A musician can also look at happiness and success in terms of the number of people who patronize his music, if he truly believes that music is nothing if no one hears and appreciates it. It really depends on one’s ideologies.

The only thing that we can infer from these two concepts is that these are mutually intertwined. One can say that success brings happiness and happiness is an essential ingredient towards success (i.e. Being happy with one’s work will bring beautiful fruits of labor).

Happiness and success are two things that all people aspire for in life. There can never be a single definition for both of these concepts. Even dictionaries wouldn’t dare give exact definitions for these words.

Perhaps, only the human heart can define these concepts. You will know when you are happy or when you can call yourself successful if your heart says so.

This is why the heart should always be consulted when making important decisions in life. Yes, of course, this is just a metaphor but we all know that the heart speaks reasons that the mind can never comprehend.

Happiness appears to be a function of evolution. We naturally have cravings so that we do the things that make our species successful. If we didn’t do that, then our species would have gone extinct a long time ago.

For example, eating makes people feel happy. They crave food. If that wasn’t the case, then people wouldn’t eat, and we would all die quickly. We wouldn’t be here if we it didn’t make us happy to do the things that we have to do to be here.

There is only two kinds of happiness… One is pleasure… The second kind is self accomplishment. "But what is self accomplishment?" you ask. Well johnny boy… Self accomplishment is something you done by yourself and became satisfied of the outcome. There is no "ultimate goal." The idea of success in life alone is that we all want in life. Nothing less… More is also acceptable. There is no one way to succeed. It’s up to you to decide what you can do to benefit the world from your doings. It could be small as volunteering.. or something big as in working at disney world. Like I said.. It’s up to you.

the best i can come up with….you know thatcarefree feeling tom petty sings about in "free falling" or when you’re driving fast down the highway / road in the summer wih a great song on the radio and it’s payday? that’s the closet i can get to answering "what is happiness."

the ultimate goal? yes…now that i’ve thought about it a moment…i believe at least in part that it is the ultimate goalof our exhistance. among others. so not THE, but in THE MOST IMPORTANT section of priorities. the reason i argree is our creator wants most of all for the people of the earth to learn love and happiness….the is his will for us. if it his will…how can it also not ours? even innately…

why do we want it? because when we have it…we find the breathe to move along to the next moment. imagine a life void of…………air. that is a lfe without happiness.

is it success? that one totally depends on your own definition of ‘success’. emotionally, morally, financially, etc. the feeling of peace, i think, equals success.

as to why you are living your life…that will be a long journey that i am just in the middle of myself. no understanding? it’s deeper than most humans grasp that we can go….so learn as much as you can and you can never go wrong.

People dont want to be happy.

People would rather be mourned… we contemplate our own death, and its aftermath… even fantasize about apocalyptic events. Some people want to be martyrs.

People gossip and have all sorts of drama in their lives that they just cant wait to glorify themselves by whining to their friends and coworkers. "Pity me… Pity me… my life is so bad. Feel sympathy for me and do stuff for me."

And that whole emo social fad where everyone pretends they want to commit suicide because theyre so miserable…

Or the people that see groups and get help they dont actually need for thing that they wont actually do.

People dont want to be happy… if they’re happy they have no right to complain, nothing to complain about.

People want to be envied and glamorized… but not at the cost of working for it or having an expectation to maintain.

People would rather fail in life due to not trying than fail in trying. Its less painful… and doesnt negate the possibility that "I" might actually be worth something. By not trying, and pretending it doesnt matter, they are guaranteed to never fail from inadequacies on their own part.

Happiness is a spectrum. People dont want happiness. They just dont want to be miserable.
