To a small extent it does. Some people would rate you down if you’re seen with an unattractive woman. It’s not what I think but I can’t help mentioning that I’ve heard it. Plus, whether the guys who think less of you also have power to make an impact in your career or not, it’s not obvious.
However, this is a minor issue. Most rich guys like to strut around with trophy wives just for vanity, for competitive drive, for the heck of it. If their division posts a huge loss they’re just as likely to be fired whether wifey is a former Playmate or not.

Think about it, some of the top 10 billionaires in the world are not married even though they could’ve, married someone very beautiful, why because there is no use of marriage, one just needs to attain success and wealth that is all that matters.
